Accident Management Engineer

My client, a forward thinking and customer focused vehicle management business, is looking for an experienced Accident Management Engineer to join their Operations team. The main purpose of the role is to ensure Accident Management processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with quality procedures and insurance industry standards. You will also be responsible for providing support and guidance to all areas of the business that interact with the department. Responsibilities:- * To ensure all accident circumstances are accurately recorded into the management systems. * To help and advise the Account Management team with technical and procedural questions as and when required. * To process accident repairs following department procedures in relation to each claim. * To ensure the repairer network are contacting drivers to book their vehicle within the agreed timescales. * To process accident claims according to client procedures, ensuring all relevant documents are sent to the Insurers and any other relevant party/parties. * To progress each claim regularly to ensure work is completed in the specified time- scale, recording activity notes and providing updates to the Account Management team as and when required. * To process accident repair invoices for payment, recharging to clients in line with department procedures. * To liaise with relevant departments to ensure efficient recovery of un-driveable vehicles and any onward transport for the client if required. * To compile reports for client review meetings as and when required. The ideal candidate will have experience of insurance claims and/or accident repair function with the industry as well as working within a quality framework. It is essential that you possess a high level of industry knowledge and are able to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure. You should be highly proficient in MS Office applications with the confidence and ability to learn new systems and technology. You will be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing. It would be beneficial if you have a qualification from The Chartered Insurance Institute, or be prepared to study for it
