Workshop Supervisor Rotherham Depot Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd is the Volvo Truck and Bus specialists across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. We provide a total transport solution for the industry, from new trucks to used trucks, and parts and servicing for trucks, buses and trailers. We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor to join our fantastic team in Rotherham to oversee the 4 on 4 off day shift pattern. *** Excellent opportunities for career progression *** Main Responsibilities - To assist the Service Manager in liaising between service reception and the workshop on repair. - To ensure that the right technician has been allocated the right job. - To control and monitor the progress of the repair / service through to completion. - Ensure high levels of quality are maintained on all work produced by the service department. - Ensure that all service paperwork is completed to a high standard. - To maintain excellent customer satisfaction and MOT standards. The successful candidate will have / be: - Commercial technical background. - A good communicator (internally and with customers). - Able to work on own initiative and able to problem solve. - Extremely well organised and able to prioritise effectively. - Computer skills advantageous. Requirements - Qualifications required City & Guilds part 1 & 2 / BTEC / IMI (or equivalent) in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry. - Commercial experience within a workshop environment (or similar environment). - HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
