Workshop Manager required for a ground breaking tech engineering firm based in Surrey, the individual will have the opportunity to work closely with the engineering team contributing to the continued success of this fast paced, forward thinking business that is expanding year on year.  Responsible for overseeing the workshop team there is ample need to assist in system builds, system and process improvement and being actively involved day in, day out. Being a fast paced environment, the workshop or facility manager will need to be comfortable innovating, leading and contributing to the everyday funbctionality of the team and their work.  See below for a more specific overview of what the role entails, firstly though a synopsis of what good looks like for a workshop manager in this partiuclar chilled/cold storage engineering business:-  Required:-  Demonstrable hands on skills in a research & development environment  Experience leading, training and developing teams HNC/HND or equivalent working experience  Transferrable sector skillsets include those from transport, electrical systems, automotive or similar industires where standards, safety processes and certification are of the upmost importance  F-gas certification or prior experience to working within cold storage systems  Understanding and working knowledge of engineering information in multiple formats An understanding of electrical assembly and build processes, twinned with expereicne in low voltage wiring Welding experience would be advantageous Role Overview:  Lead technicians to achieve engineering and project targets Identify process improvement opportunities Manage the workshop's stock and processes, including COSHH updates and ensuring the information is understood across the team  Quality progress and updates  Supervising overall health & safety and correct use of PPE in the workplace environment Use of measuring equipment including as example, micrometers, torque wrenches etc.  Salary:- £42,5000 - £45,000 + Benefits  (competitive) If you live within a commutable distance of Surrey / the surrounding areas and possess the exprerience listed within, please enquire at your earliest convenience
