Workshop Manager – Swindon Are you a dynamic Workshop Manager or Engineering Supervisor looking for the next step in your career? If so we’ve got a perfect opportunity to lead our engineering team at Swindon depot. What we’re looking for... Due to the promotion of the current WM, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced team leader in the fleet maintenance sector manage our busy workshop in Swindon. You’ll have a good working technical knowledge of large vehicles and also be comfortable motivating and managing up to 30 engineering team members from vehicle cleaners to skilled vehicle technicians. Roles & Responsibility… The main focus of the role is to lead a team of engineers, ensuring we put a clean, safe and reliable fleet of over 70 modern buses on the road day after day. Some of your main areas of responsibility will include- * Service Delivery – ensuring a safe, reliable and quality product for our travelling customers * Safety – this is a key role in ensuring vehicle safety through strict compliance with Stagecoach maintenance policies and procedures. The role also carries a responsibility to uphold safe working practises and behaviours within the workshop environment * Value & Efficiency– the WM plays a vital role in minimising waste within the workshop through good workshop organisation, driving staff productivity and guarding against unnecessary component changes The role can be complex and challenging at times but also hugely rewarding with lots of variety on a day-to-day basis.
