Workshop Manager Our specialist automotive clients, based in Liss have an exciting opportunity, for a Workshop Supervisor to join their growing team. Role Summary * Day to day management of the workshop, technicians, and apprentices * Ensure deadlines are met and delays are communicated promptly and clearly. * Control arrival and departure documents/images, contribute to customer invoicing process. * Quality check all documentation to ensure processes are followed and any issues rectified Key Responsibilities * Working to agreed workshop schedule and priorities. * Assist in work estimates and producing standard job times. * Manage labour booking data and report on variances to estimates (actual vs planned) * Manage job cards and ensure technician labour bookings are concise and accurate. * Liaise with Operations Manager daily to agree priorities and areas of focus. * Ensure and document continued compliance with workshop basics, Directives, and SOPs * Mentor apprentices and work with training partner to deliver apprenticeship programme. * Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard. * Support the Operations Manager in communicating and improving KPIs. * Identify and manage team training programmes and development needs. * Drive profitability and work with Operations Manager to identify additional sales opportunities. * Foster a culture of efficiency and quality across all workshop activity. * Ensure Health and Safety regulations are met, and safe working practices are adhered to. Experience and Required Skills * Strong organisational and prioritisation skills * Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues, with a proactive can-do attitude * Strong technical knowledge * Deadline management * Robust and proven man management skills * Proven ability to motivate and develop a team * Experience working within the automotive industry would be ideal, however not essential
