Workshop Manager £47,000 to £50,000 per annum Hoddesdon Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm Full time Permanent - immediate start available An award winning commercial body shop, with an array of insurance and fleet clients, our client are looking for a Workshop Manager for their site in Hoddesdon. This facility needs a Workshop Manager to ensure that the assigned work is completed on time, on price and to be best quality. They are working on cars and vans. On a day to day basis you will: * Manage the workshop team * Arrange and rearrange the workshop timetable and priorities * Ensure a high standard of work * Work flexibly to ensure the working time available is fully utilised * Assign work to the most suitable technicians to ensure that jobs are completed by those with the best skills for the job * Keeping jobs within timescales, and advising Operations team of any delays * Liaise with parts team to keep accurate delivery schedule * Supporting team members with difficulties and working for a resolution What experience do you need? We are looking for someone with 3 + years experience as a Workshop Manager or Controller in an accident/repairs workshop – ideally * Leadership and management skills * Good technical knowledge * Happy to give clear instructions and manage a workshop team * Excellent adaptability and flexibility in the working day * Creative problem solver * The ability to work well under pressure * A brilliant communicator We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible - this position is vacant due to growth and promotion.
