Job Title: Workshop Controller Location: Wrexham Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic salary On-Target Earnings (OTE): £38,000 – £43,000 (uncapped) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (No weekends) Richard Abson Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established main dealership in Wrexham for an experienced Workshop Controller to lead and manage their busy aftersales team. As the Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of 12 Vehicle Technicians and supporting 3 Service Advisors. Your focus will be on efficient workload distribution, high-quality repair standards, and delivering a great customer experience. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and coordinate daily workloads for 12 Technicians * Support Service Advisors in managing customer expectations and workshop loading * Ensure all service, repair, and maintenance work is completed on time and to a high standard * Accurately monitor and record Technician hours and job times * Produce technical reports and warranty submissions where required * Drive workshop performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar role * Strong leadership and organisational skills * A technical background within a dealership or automotive service environment * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills What’s on Offer: * No weekends – enjoy a healthy work-life balance * Competitive basic salary up to £35,000 * Realistic uncapped OTE of £43,000 * Ongoing training and career progression opportunities * A supportive and professional dealership environment If you’re currently working as a Workshop Controller, or you’re a skilled Technician ready to step into a leadership role, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
