Wiring Technician Pertemps are looking for a full-time wiring technician for an innovative family-owned business based on outskirts of Telford, you will be joining their forward thinking and dynamic team at the heart of the business, to help further their growth plans. You will be building from a detailed drawing, sealed system wiring harnesses in a production environment to a high quality and in a timely manner, prototyping with minimal information to specify components for volume production builds. You will be defining of crimp tooling per contact using crimp pull tester to confirm against mil standards, and assemble of simple single crimp large diameter HV cables through to the high-pressure delivery of complex and challenging harnesses. In addition, you will be kitting the harness and preparing and the build area, working with the quoting team to support accurate cost predictions for future builds. Ideal Candidate Have minimum of 3 years in a similar technical environment, ideally motorsport BTEC National Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred) Qualified to or ability to work towards IPC-A-620 and IPC-A-610 Using System 25 materials and Contra-helical lay ups Using Automated Crimping press tools for automotive harness builds High Voltage cable preparation and crimping Ability to read drawings and create Bills of materials for Prototype and First builds. Good personable interfacing with internal and external customers both face to face and via phone / video. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies An understanding of Microsoft products such as excel and word Strong network in the motorsport, automotive, defence and aerospace industries IPC training Ability to design Electrical Wiring Harness Systems Diagnose / Set up of Vehicle Electrical systems using BOSCH / MOTEC / PLEX / COSWORTH SoftwareHours 7.30-4.30 Monday to Thursday  7.30-12 Friday Salary £13.33 per hour If you are interested in this vacancy please click to APPLY
