Role: Welder / Fabricator Salary: £30,300 - £40,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4.45 pm Location: Shrewsbury Welder / Fabricator Duties * Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications. * Operate various power tools and hand tools to perform cutting, shaping, and finishing tasks. * Execute welding tasks using welding techniques, ensuring strong and precise welds. * Work with structural steel to create custom parts and assemblies as required. * Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. * Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes. Welder / Fabricator Skills Required * Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to fabrication and welding. * Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. * Experience in fabricating components from sheet metal is highly desirable. * Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes. * Demonstrated ability in welding techniques, particularly stick welding. * Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
