Technician Supervisor Location: Gloucester Salary: From £35,000 DOE Hours: Monday to Friday, Early Shift: 06:00 – 14:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break. Every other Saturday 08:00-13:00 at OT rate. Role & Purpose An experienced and qualified Technician Supervisor is needed to lead the early shift at a renowned dealership in Gloucester. The successful candidate will ensure customer vehicles are maintained to the highest quality, safe, and compliant standards while supervising the workshop team to ensure efficiency and productivity. This role demands exceptional service delivery and inspirational leadership. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise the early shift, ensuring technicians are working on the right jobs at the right time in collaboration with the workshop controller. * Maintain high standards of vehicle repair and maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance. * Communicate effectively with the team, ensuring they are motivated and engaged. * Identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA standards. * Utilize Keyloop/Kerridge modules appropriately. * Complete customer documentation within agreed timeframes. * Contribute to vehicle maintenance and repairs, including wheel alignment and tire fitting. * Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility with workloads, and excellent teamwork. Ideal Candidate: * Qualified to at least level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI) in LCV and HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance. * Strong communication skills via email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions. * Previous leadership experience within a workshop setting. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in job card documentation. * Motivated and capable of inspiring team members. * Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks.
