Vehicle Technician - MechanicOur client’s workshop is based in North CornwallOpportunity available due to expansion Our client is seeking an above average technician who can assist in the running of their independent workshop, you will be based on the tools and have 5 other staff working in your team. This opportunity might suit someone who has run their own small garage or an ex senior franchised technician looking for a change of direction… They service, repair, diagnose and look after all types of prestige and branded used vehicles and light commercials/pick-ups. Our client has a very comprehensive new facility which includes new ramps/software and diagnostic tooling as well as a class 7 and 4 MOT bay which mainly assists in the sales prep of their own vehicle stocks. They are extremely flexible when it comes to working hours and are open to making sure these suit individuals. Normal opening hours are 8-30 to 5-30 Monday to Friday with no weekend work – they would even consider someone working a 4 day week! In return, they are prepared to offer a starting salary c£32,000 per annum, however this is open to discussion and would look at this depending on suitability and experience. Our client is also introducing a new bonus scheme this quarter linked to profitability in the department. Finding the right candidate is more important to our client than a salary cap at this stage of their journey.
