Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester Location: Shrewsbury Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, (Apply online only) Salary: £28,000.00 to £31,000.00 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Igloo is looking for Vehicle Technician/MOT Testers to join our client’s team in Shrewsbury on a permanent basis. Our client is one of the UK’s leading automotive companies, with operations throughout the country. The Role: * Advising on best methods of repair and determining repair times. * Carrying out the company inspection process, noting all areas requiring repair or service. * Communicating with internal teams and departments where necessary. * Repairing vehicle faults as identified either by the checklist or during the repair process. * Ensuring the efficient and effective use of workshop facilities and equipment. * Providing complex diagnostics to a wide variety of vehicles. * Ensuring workstations and preparation areas are always clean and tidy. * Ensuring daily, weekly, monthly service and repair targets are met. Ideally, we are looking for: * Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician. * Current MOT Tester. * A full driving licence. * Relevant level two or level three qualifications (or equivalent) would be beneficial but are not essential. * Problem solver. * Positive “can do” attitude. * Team player. * Clear communicator.
