VEHICLE TECHNICIAN with MOT TESTING £33,000 to £38,000 per annum CHATHAM NO WEEKENDS Our client is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to work within their busy independent garage. You must hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification, applicants from both Main Dealer and Independent Workshops are welcomed, an MOT license is preferred but not essential for this position. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and the offering is from £30,000 to £35,000 per annum. If you're a skilled Automotive Technician/Mechanic, qualified to NVQ L2, L3 or equivalent My client operates in the local area of Chatham, working on all brands of cars and an opportunity exists for those with NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Service & Repair or equivalent and a stable workshop-based career profile, ideally gained within a Franchised Dealership or reputable independent Garage. This role will be based within a busy Automotive Workshop, carrying out service and repair on a range of vehicles and MOT Testing where and when needed. The successful candidate should be qualified to NVQ L2, L3 or equivalent and will receive industry-leading support and training in order to progress his/her skills within an ever-evolving and highly exciting environment. You should be highly organised, conscientious and a great team-player with a strong work ethic, completing jobs to Dealership / Independent garage standard along with all associated documentation. Plenty of overtime is available and a bonus system is in place, rewarding for productivity and efficiency. About the position The successful candidate for our Vehicle Technician position will have previous experience in a similar role and strong teamwork skills. A large part of the Technician position involves: Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards. Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control. Speaking with customers on occasion to provide your expert, technical opinion. Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge. Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals. Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work. About our requirements We expect you to demonstrate some skills that will prove very beneficial in the position, including: Aptitude for multi-tasking. An eye for detail. Ability to work under pressure. Quality awareness. Communication skills. Full driving licence. MOT is desirable NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair, along with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience are essential for this role. Though not essential, a valid MOT Smart Card would be beneficial.
