Vehicle Technician/Mechanic * 42.5 hours a week * Monday - Friday + 1 in 3 Saturday Mornings * 8am to 5pm with 1 hour break – Saturdays 8am-12pm rota paid at OT rate 1 ½ * Salary between £35,000 - £41,000 OTE * Bonus Scheme - £600 per quarter roughly £2400 per year * Training Bonus available as well Key Duties of a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic * Servicing * Diagnostic work * General maintenance and repairs * Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs) * Suspension work * Repairs on lights * Road testing vehicles after repair * Repairing and replacing wheel bearings, alternators, and head gaskets * MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs * Change tyres, complete puncture repairs * Complete wheel alignment and balancing * Repairing and replacing exhausts, sensors and other parts * Repairing and replacing steering racks, water pumps, radiators, clutches and gearboxes * Timing Belts & Cambelt replacements * Oil changes and part changes e.g. Filters * Plan and keep up to date records of repair procedures using charts manuals and experience. * Test the functionality of parts and systems once repairs are completed. * Keep repair shop clean and organised. Vehicle Technician/Mechanic Requirements: * MUST have an NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certification to Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair with minimum 3 years experience * Hold a full UK valid driving license - No major driving convictions DD, DR, or IN * Must have previous UK Dealership, or Garage experince as a Vehicle Technician
