Vehicle Technician - £27.00ph - HGV Licence Essential - Bournemouth, Dorset Based across the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a professional fleet team responsible for keeping essential front line services moving. You'll work on a wide range of commercial vehicles & equipment while benefiting from a supportive team environment & ongoing training. What's in it for you? £24.00-£27.00 per hour Full-time, ongoing opportunity Work on a varied municipal fleet including refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, vans, tractors & trailers Ongoing training & professional development Opportunity to support apprentice development Modern workshop environment with specialist equipment Stable role supporting essential public services Friendly, experienced team Key Responsibilities As a Vehicle Technician, in Bournemouth, Dorset you will: Carry out servicing, maintenance & repairs on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles Diagnose faults efficiently & complete repairs to a high standard Perform safety inspections & vehicle examinations Complete preventative maintenance & scheduled servicing Accurately record defects, repairs & parts used electronically Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures & Operator Licence requirements Support apprentices & assist with training where required Work collaboratively to keep the fleet operating safely & efficiently What we're looking for To be successful, you'll have: Previous experience within a busy commercial vehicle workshop A valid HGV Licence NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance Experience maintaining municipal fleets, including refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, trailers, tractors, vans & light commercial vehicles Strong fault-finding & diagnostic skills A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities The ability to work independently & as part of a team Flexibility to work across sites within the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole areaIf you're an experienced Vehicle Technician looking for your next opportunity in the Bournemouth, Dorset area, we'd love to hear from you.
