A Prototype Vehicle Technician is required for a leading OEM based in the vibrant town of Nuneaton. Working at their state-of-the-art facility, you will be part of a team that thrives on innovation and embraces the challenge of developing models that set the standard for excellence. You will be working 39 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 08:00-16:45, and Friday, 08:00-14:30. As Prototype Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include: Preparation, assembly, and build, with a primary focus on Mechanical build, Trim and Final Assembly. Mechanical and Electrical assembly tasks, including building components and sub-assemblies from scratch. Creating and assembling within a bay-build discipline, covering Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim aspects. Fitting part/full interior Trim packages with precision and attention to detail. Utilising your extensive knowledge of EVs and Hybrids to contribute to the prototype process. Reading and interpreting engineer drawings to ensure accurate assembly. Diagnosing and supporting the logging of build issues, contributing to engineering improvements. We’re looking for a Prototype Vehicle Technician with the following skills and experience: Capable of interfacing with modern day vehicle electrical systems Extensive hands-on experience of whole vehicles A good engineering background Experience of previous vehicle assembly/build work Ability to develop good technical solutions to build/ quality issues Contract type: Inside IR35 – Initial 6-month contract with potential of further extension throughout 2024.
