HGV & LCV Technician / Vehicle Prepper Location: Basildon Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking an experienced and fully skilled Technician to join our team, working on a wide variety of modern HGV and LCV (Van) fleets. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a diverse workload and takes pride in delivering first-time fixes and timely repairs. Responsibilities * Carry out full vehicle safety inspections and MOT preparation to DVSA standards. * Perform general service and repair work. * Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using a range of diagnostic tools, including manufacturer software, diagnostic software. * Complete some offsite safety inspections and running repairs (customer facing). * Maintain EV training at Level 3 minimum (Level 4 training offered). Requirements * Level 3 qualified Technician with industry-recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ). * Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV or LCV Technician. * EV trained to level 3 minimum - Training to LEVEL 4 OFFERED. * Strong communication skills and ability to use computer-based systems. * Team player with initiative and commitment to quality and safety standards. * Must hold a valid UK driving licence. * Must have legal right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship). Working Hours * Rotating shift pattern: * 6:00am - 2:30pm (Mon-Fri) * 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Mon-Fri) * Every other Saturday: 7:00am - 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate).
