Job description Light vehicle Technicians/ Mechanics/ Main dealer Contracting Technicians, immediate opportunities Pay from £22 – £24 per hour "Are you currently working as an Vehicle Technician and fed up with being undervalued at your current employer?" “Are you looking to get the benefits of working within a main dealership?” “Do you enjoy flavour by working with different models of vehicles?” We are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician in Shrewsbury. (MOT Tester preffered but not required) What you will be doing? ✔ Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicle to ensure road worthiness and reliability to DVSA standards. ✔ Diagnostics and repair of mechanical issues, to include steering, suspension, and brake systems. Fuel and air systems, Transmission, and driveline. ✔ Diagnostics and repair of electrical issues including ABS, EBS, HVAC and Multiplex CAN Systems. ✔ Replacement of major units. ✔ Repairs including engine repair/rebuild. ✔ Use of Dealer level and generic diagnostic equipment to assist in time efficient repair. ✔ To repair and maintain vehicles to manufacturers standards and schedules. ✔ To always maintain health and safety standards., and work within company guidelines and safe working practices. ✔ Complete job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork to a good standard. ✔ To adhere to the Company’s Policy & Procedures. ✔ All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA. ✔ To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system. ✔ To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles. ✔ To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis. ✔ To comply with reasonable instruction Line Managers, Regional Managers, Head Office or the Board of Directors. ✔ To carry out any repair work. ✔ To carry out PDI's. ✔ To be available for work at the times specified by the Company. Qualifications and experience requirements: ✔ Recognised apprenticeship or proven work history. ✔ City and Guilds / level 3 ✔ MOT qaulified  ✔ Additional qualifications in specialist diagnostics, electrical repair, mechanical repair and welding would be advantageous.
