Vehicle Mechanic- Citroen & Peugeot Bristol (BS4) Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, plus alternate Saturdays 8am to 12:30pm (paid at an overtime rate). Salary: basic salary between £29,000 to £35,000- depending on experience. Benefits: * Amazing progression opportunities * Colleague Referral Bonus of up to £1,000 * Extensive Manufacturer Training * Exclusive Discounts on New and Used vehicles * Discount on MOT & Servicing (including your family) * Cycle to work scheme * A range of training and leadership development programmes * Life Assurance (death in service benefit) * Staff & Family Car Scheme * Employee Assistance programme with access to a 24/7 helpline and designated Mental Health First Aiders Your role: As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: * Conducting routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard * Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults * Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and meet customer expectations * Communicate with the Workshop Foreman if the repair diagnosis is more complex. * Reporting any faults identified during servicing, PDI or repairs to the Workshop Controller or Line Manager * Completing MOT documents accurately and in a timely manner * Following all health and safety procedures and guidelines * Ensures vehicle cleanliness is maintained during repair or maintenance work About you: To be considered for this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: * Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, City & Guilds or equivalent * Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, preferably within a dealership * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair faults on a range of vehicles * Good communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team * Full driving licence Aligra have been established since 2007 and have since implemented supply partnerships with a number of the UK’s leading logistics companies.
