Position Title: Vehicle Dynamics Rigs Engineer Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract Location: Gaydon Division: Engineering Operations Position Description: As a Vehicle Dynamics Rigs Engineer you will be responsible for preparation, testing and reporting of the Dynamic Rolling Road Rig and the Kinematics and Compliance Rig. The rigs test vehicles with instrumentation which measure the reactivity of on road behaviours to the assess steering and suspension performance. Skills Required: Must have awareness of risk assessments for health and safety requirements. Must have understanding of rig/vehicle based data acquisition. Must have worked within a rig/vehicle test environment. Experience Required: Relevant degree or equivalent specific operational experience. Significant rig-based test and evaluation techniques. Sufficient mechanical understanding of vehicle chassis and steering systems and their integration to vehicle systems. Good understanding of laboratory equipment capability and flexibility. Experience in mentoring/teaching degree apprentices and junior engineers. Additional Information : No Hybrid working
