Used Car Controller Location: Newbury, Berkshire Salary: Competitive basic + Uncapped OTE £55,000 Hours: Full-time, including weekends on a rota About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Used Car Controller to lead the used car operation at our Newbury dealership. This is a key role within the sales management team, responsible for stock performance, pricing, and profitability while supporting and developing the sales team. Key Responsibilities * Oversee all aspects of the used car department * Manage stock levels, days in stock, and vehicle turn * Price vehicles competitively in line with the local market * Carry out accurate vehicle appraisals * Maximise margin and profitability on all used car sales * Support, coach, and motivate the sales team * Drive finance, warranty, and add-on product penetration * Work closely with Aftersales to manage preparation times and costs * Ensure FCA compliance and company processes are followed * Maintain high standards of vehicle presentation and forecourt display * Review performance through reports, KPIs, and market data About You * Proven experience as a Used Car Controller or strong Senior Sales Executive ready to step up * Strong commercial and stock management skills * Confident appraising vehicles and closing deals * Target-driven with leadership ability * Organised, professional, and customer-focused * FCA accredited (or willing to complete) * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * Competitive basic salary * Uncapped OTE £55,000 * Career progression within a reputable dealer group * Ongoing training and development * Company car or car allowance * Pension scheme and staff benefits
