Our client is an established car trader with an impressive reputation for selling high-end vehicles. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Used Car Buyer to join their small, dedicated team of industry specialists based in the Harrogate area. The Used Car Buyer will be responsible for purchasing stock that accurately represents the company profile, disposal of trade vehicles, managing stock control and stocking plans to the highest level. Used Car Buyer – Key Responsibilities * Oversee and monitor stock levels, ensuring approach purchases are in line with company standards. * Be proactive in building a strong network of suppliers, to source unique / highly desirable vehicles, using various methods and channels. * Monitor trends and demands within the market for specific makes and models of vehicles. * Create clear guidelines for assessing vehicles for part exchange, ensuring customers understand the cost implications of defects/milling items. * Streamline vehicle turnaround time by ensuring early identification of any required preparation. * Arrange the delivery / collection of new stock with all necessary documentation. * Maintain and manage accurate information using CRM system. Used Car Buyer – Skills & Experience * Proven experience of purchasing and appraising vehicles. * Strong communication and relationship building skills. * Professional and customer focused. * A confident negotiator. * Driving licence. The Used Car Buyer position offers £28,000 - £30,000 basic salary OTE £70,000+ plus great benefits, including 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, an industry-leading profit share scheme, free onsite parking, and regular social events.
