Our client is a renown German car specialist who are actively recruiting for a skilled Trade Parts Advisor to help support their current parts team. An ideal candidate will have a background in automotive parts, either dealer, specialist or motor factor based with good technical knowledge and possess the ability to produce accurate parts pick list using manufacture and specialist parts manuals. Main Responsibilities * Proactively reach out to existing as well as potential customers usually by phone, advising customers on what parts may offer the best solution to meet customer needs. * Taking orders over the phone, via email or occasionally in person. * Read online catalogues or computer displays to determine replacement part availability, stock numbers and prices. * Determine replacement parts required according to inspection of old auto parts. * Receive orders and fulfil orders from stock or if out of stock, liaising with relevant contacts or with Machine Shop to have replenishments made. * Receive payment or obtain credit authorisation. * Examine returned parts for defects in cooperation with the Purchasing Manager.
