World leading establish company which has been operating since the 1950s are seeking a Toolmaker / Repair technician. Working alongside the current team, you will be providing support and assistance due to increase of workload. You will become a valuable and key team member. Duties: -Ensure effective tooling and repairs duties are maintained -Assess problems with components and advise on corrective actions -Assist with Production Department troubleshooting -Maintain that all tooling is suitable for production and produce new tooling for the production area if required -Ensure all components and assemblies comply with latest designs and drawings -Work within a press shop environment within potentially noisy and dirty areas to ensure safe practices are carried out. -Undertake manual lifting when collecting and repairing press and assembly tooling equipment Person Specification/Knowledge: -The successful applicant will have experience of working within a similar position within a manufacturing environment Competent in using grinding, milling and turning machinery plus general toolroom equipment. -Strong understanding of using measuring equipment, setting and assembly techniques, hand tools and inspection equipment -Recognised Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) and grinding wheel regulations knowledge -Excellent Computer and keyboard skills and communication skills -Excellent attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specification Monday-Thursday 8.00am-4.45pm and Friday 8.00am-3.45pm, 39 hours per week, Pease submit your C.V today
