Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a niche vehicle manufacturer in the delivery of an urban vehicle seeking a Tooling Engineer, on either a permanent or contract basis offering an excellent salary or competitive rates outside IR35. As a Tooling Engineer, you will offer key support to Project Teams regarding introducing new or revised tooling. You will be responsible for ensuring that toolmakers proposed line-ups are refined to the optimum levels for the benefit of the business. To give you an idea of how this Tooling Engineer role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: Offer key support to Project Teams regarding product design feasibility at both pre and post-order reviews Manage tooling suppliers Formally report overall work status as and when required to the leadership team Communicate regularly and effectively, ensuring that the key personnel associated with the project are kept fully aware of Tooling progress and any key issues relating to the tooling Ensure that all new or revised tool trials, either at toolmakers or onsite, are witnessed and relevant reports issued To apply for this Tooling Engineer role, you will need to be degree qualified or equivalent with relevant industry experience.
