Key Responsibilities: TIG Welding: Perform TIG welding operations on aerospace components according to specifications, ensuring adherence to precise tolerances and quality standards. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, degreasing, and machining surfaces as necessary to ensure proper weld integrity. Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet company and industry standards for strength, integrity, and aesthetic appearance. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding parameters, material certifications, and inspection reports to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, to maintain a safe working environment. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize welding processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Proven experience as a TIG Welder in the aerospace industry, with a strong understanding of aerospace materials and welding techniques. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Familiarity with welding codes and standards Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment, including TIG welding machines and associated tools. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity, with the ability to produce high-quality welds on complex components.
