Position: Sales Engineer Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + 25 days holiday + Bonus + Pension Type: Permanent Location: Remote working available with some travel into Maidenhead My client is a well established, and highly successful, niche supplier to the motorsport and high performance automotive industries. Due to ongoing investment and a strong product portfolio, they are now seeking a Sales Engineer to drive new business development in the rapidly expanding Electric Vehicle sector. You will be responsible for generating sales opportunities with the most exciting electric vehicle brands across the world. Main responsibilities: * Proactively creating and progressing sales pipeline opportunities through to order. * Quotation and proposal writing. * Approaching, and building relationships, with prospective clients utilising various media and tools available including social media. * Customer contact, meetings and technical presentations (supported by the in-house engineers). * Be the first line contact for customer enquiries. * Complete initial qualification of customers and recommend priority for business development through regular discussion with the team. * Recommend commercial and technical solutions initially through discussion with the engineering team. * Coordinate public events, trade fairs and conferences. * Understand and record customers specification and work with the designers to generate and verify customer’s requirements. * This role will require occasional travel in the UK and overseas. The ideal candidate will have: * Proven experience in a B2B sales role, gained ideally - but not essentially - within automotive or engineering. Full training will be given! * A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, capable of making introductions and generating new business opportunities. * Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. * A genuine passion for automotive. * UK driver’s licence and the willingness to occasionally travel in the UK and overseas.
