Our mission is simple - to save aircrew lives. Join us on this mission as a Technical Author working with the Modifications Team as part of the Configuration Management Department at the Denham site. This is an exciting opportunity where you will gain a great understanding of our products and how they are used to enable you to write Technical Modification Instructions for our external and internal customers. You will be using customer requirements and engineering data such as engineering drawings, CAD models, production standards, processes, and industry Specifications to deliver validated Technical Modification Instructions. Additionally, you will Identify and liaise with relevant departments to resolve technical issues and requirements. You will identify, define, and specify illustration requirements and usage to meet industry standards. Undertake hands-on facilitation, demonstration and validation using appropriate equipment, tooling and engineering techniques. Proofread documents prior to passing data into quality systems meeting task deadlines and complying with data management processes. Characteristics & Skills * Know how to listen and communicate effectively with others. * Experience of desktop publishing software e.g. FrameMaker. * Proven aerospace engineering experience, preferably in a Military context. * Committed to the highest standards. * Have an eye for detail and getting things right. * Share and demonstrate the Martin-Baker Values. * Highly developed skill in applying the English Language, including Simplified English. * Practical experience of mechanical engineering and technical authorship. Education & Qualifications * City & Guilds 5360 Part 1 & 2 (Engineering, Technical Communication and Authoring) or equivalent.
