Team Leader – Production Salary: £30,000 + shift + bonus (OTE £40k+)Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (Monday – Friday) Mornings: 06:00 – 14:00 (break: 09:30 – 10:00) Afternoons: 14:00 – 22:00 (break: 17:30 – 18:00) Nights: 22:00 – 06:00 (break: 01:30 – 02:00)Holidays – 33days (inc BH) Pension Scheme + life insurance + Healthcare plan + paid leave for volunteering Are you a proven leader with a strong background in manufacturing, finishing processes, and production efficiency? Do you have the ability to manage teams, optimise workflows, and drive continuous improvement? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a key production team in delivering high-quality finishing processes. This role is critical in ensuring the final finishing stages of high-performance products meet exceptional quality and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities Production & Finishing Process Management Oversee critical finishing processes, including Kuka cutting, shot blasting, prep, edge trimming, and painting. Allocate manpower and resources to meet production and quality targets. Actively problem-solve process inefficiencies, identifying and implementing solutions. Ensure strict adherence to manufacturing standards, ensuring each product meets high-quality specifications. People Management & Development Manage and develop a high-performing production team, ensuring all team members are skilled in their respective finishing processes. Identify training needs, conduct hands-on coaching, and assess competence levels. Handle first-line HR duties, including job chats, return-to-work meetings, and holiday admin. Promote cross-training and inter-team flexibility, maximising workforce efficiency. Maintain detailed records of attendance, training, and performance management. What You Need to Succeed Proven experience leading a production team in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of finishing processes such as Kuka cutting, shot blasting, edge trimming, and painting. Ability to troubleshoot production issues, implement solutions, and drive performance improvements. Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, production KPIs, and process optimisation. Strong Health & Safety awareness, with experience conducting risk assessments. Intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
