A background in design / development (e.g. electronic design, embedded software, mechanical design) or systems engineering would be preferred (e.g. electronics, software, mechatronics etc) ideally gained within the automotive, avionics, aerospace or similar industry. Location: Office based, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire The role will involve full lifecycle (V model) systems design engineering activities including the capture and development of customer requirements into functional requirements and specifications, systems integration activities and the development of test and validation requirements in conjunction with development and test teams. The role will be hands-on including integration activities (hardware / software) to ensure product features and systems meet product requirements. This will require engineering design / development knowledge (e.g. electronic design, embedded software, mechanical design) but an appreciation for the greater system. This experience would have been gained within systems design or product development of complex electromechanical systems used within the automotive, aerospace or other similar fast paced environment.
