Position Title: System Safety Engineer Duration: 6 months rolling Location: Gothenburg Essential Criteria: Several years of experience of working with system/functional safety from the automotive industry. In-depth knowledge about relevant best practices and standards (for example, ISO 26262). Knowledge about automotive electrical system, architecture and software. Meritorious to have good understanding of SOTIF M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer Engineering, IT or equivalent area Nice to Have Criteria: Positive mindset and "we-can-do-it" attitude to reach the best possible outcome under the given circumstances Capability of eliminating roadblocks to be able to deal with ambiguity and work under demanding conditions Down-to-earth and inspiring personality to get things done in a pragmatic and proactive way Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture Additional Information: Enabling Platform Architecture is responsible for the design of electrical architectures regarding topology, logic architecture, function allocation, base technologies, system safety and cybersecurity. Secure Platform is Centre of Expertise and Excellence in System Safety and Cybersecurity. As System Safety Engineer, you will work within our System Safety team. The main objective is to contribute to the development and deliveries of safe products and services to our customers. The work will in many cases be done in close cooperation with other teams. The activities cover the complete development cycle, for example, functional safety impact analysis, hazard analysis and risk assessment, functional and technical safety concepts, validation and verification, safety case, system safety joint reviews with suppliers and verification reviews. Examples of major tasks/activities: Develop Safety Case in compliance with ISO 26262 in vehicle projects. Perform System Safety Joint Reviews with suppliers in vehicle projects. Perform and/or support verification reviews of functional safety work products. Support technical review of concepts and solutions from functional safety perspective. Support functional safety validation and verification activities in vehicle projects
