Are you an experienced Supply Chain Analyst with either a Purchasing or Supply Chain qualification? Operational knowledge of SAP, D Soft and ERP systems? Looking for a new hands on role? Major Recruitment are working in partnership with Polytec, a leading automotive manufacturer, to recruit a Supply Chain Analyst to play a key role in the Supply Chain department at their site based in Telford. Key Responsibilities of a Supply Chain Analyst: Create plans, forecasts and schedules relating to external materials, internal production plans and consumables required to meet operational requirements Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding disruption to the customer. Assess daily/weekly volume requirements against assumptions and adjust material schedules and production order in SAP system to ensure production plan and material requirements are always correct. Maintain designated Master Data and system records. Day-to-day production order management and management of logistics pick lists. Monitor inventory levels for raw material, work in progress and finished goods against agreed target levels Understand and manage internal or external supply risks to minimise impact on production Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability at the end of a programme Generate & issue regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organisation Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and operations to ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time Create and communicate internal capacity and labour plans Understand and administer allocated Customer systems and metrics Skills required to be a successful Supply Chain Analyst: A Supply Chain or Purchasing qualification (CIPS, SC) Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role Excellent operational knowledge of ERP systems - SAP/D Soft experience advantageous Experience in complex commodities and MRP input for planning production of materials Excellent commercial and financial awareness Automotive sector desirable but willing to review candidates with a Manufacturing or Plastics background Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office High level of attention to detail Strong analytical skills Able to work flexibly for the needs of the business What's in it for you?
