Working for a world leader within the aircraft manufacturing industry the Supplier Quality Engineer will lead SQ projects within the supply chain to make improvements in time, cost and quality of purchased parts. The ideal candidate will have experience of MRP preferable SAP and a quality related certification such as Six Sigma. Manage compliance to SQR1 requirements Act as primary liaison between Design, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and Supplier for supplied products. Ensure product quality issues are communicated with the appropriate level of detail Lead FAIR process and RCA reviews Ensure that product quality complies with IHL requirements Support the Procurement Supplier Manager with production readiness and performance reviews. Generate SQ reports and metrics to support the Procurement Supplier Manager. Support material review board process. Ensure working areas are safe and that the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies are adhered toQualifications & Experience: A good level of education and excellent written and oral communication skills are a must Mechanical Engineering qualifications and experience would be preferable A quality related certification such as Six Sigma would be preferable SAP experience would be ideal however other MRP experience would be useful AS9100 manufacturing experience desirable Must have a strong can-do attitude along with excellent planning and organisational skills Must have excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
