Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Job Type: Permanent Location: Southend-on-Sea Salary: £37,000.00 Overall Purpose * To lead supplier quality initiatives within the supply chain to enhance the time, cost and quality benefits of supplier parts Role and Responsibilities. * Ensuring supplier product quality complies with IHL requirements. * Resolution of supplier product issues. * Supplier compliance to the SQR1 requirements. * Development and implementation of supplier corrective action plans. * Implementing continuous improvement activities. * Primary liaison between Design, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and Supplier on quality issues for supplied products. * Ensuring supplier product quality issues are communicated with the appropriate level of detail to the supplier. * Lead supplier FAIR process. * Lead supplier RCA reviews. * Supporting the Procurement Supplier Manager with supplier production readiness and performance reviews. * Generating supplier quality reports and metrics to support the Procurement Supplier Manager. * Responsible for supporting the material review board process. * Ensure that applicable working areas are safe and that the Health & Safety Policies are observed. * To carry out any other reasonable, relevant tasks when required. * Abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company’s standards and policies, including its environmental, safety and health policies. Qualifications * GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above (desired) * Quality related certification such as Six Sigma(desired) * SAP experience.
