As a Steps Driver Days, you will be a key member of our cleaning team, responsible for cleaning and dressing aircraft and driving step vehicles at Heathrow Airport. You will ensure adherence to safety protocols, operate vehicles safely, and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Flexibility with shift patterns is essential. Role and Responsibilities: Safely drive and operate aircraft steps for boarding and disembarking. Position steps accurately on aircraft. Conduct vehicle safety checks and report any issues. Complete and submit secure clean and vehicle defect documentation. Communicate effectively with the allocations team regarding aircraft schedules and cleaning turnaround times. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation. Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers as needed. Follow all airline and airport policies and procedures. Maintain a safe working environment. Sign in and out equipment. Perform aircraft cleaning tasks including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and replacing damaged magazines. Conduct security checks per Covert Testing Procedures. Clean and restock aircraft consumables, manage blankets and pillows, and dispose of rubbish appropriately. Work efficiently both as a team and independently, meeting company standards. Handle hazardous materials properly and use safety equipment as required. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor. Health & Safety Responsibilities Adhere to company and group policies and procedures. Report any deficiencies in work systems or equipment that could impact service delivery or safety. Use work equipment and personal PPE properly. Report issues or training needs to your Line Manager or via the incident reporting system. Pay and Shift pattern: £28,781.31 Annually or £13.80 PH Average 40 hrs per week Person Specification: Previous driving experience, preferably in passenger transport. Experience with aircraft steps and positioning is desirable. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks. Strong attention to detail and vehicle maintenance knowledge. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shift patterns. Valid UK driving license. Basic understanding of H&S legislation. Computer literate with strong interpersonal skills.
