The Software Engineer role * This a driven team with a passion for software and its successful deployment in battlespace systems. * They are looking for a capable, adaptable and inquisitive software engineer to join a small hard-working team to develop Launch Management and In-Flight Data Link solutions for the next generation of advanced air defence systems. * Work with innovative technologies across a range of land and maritime defence projects. * Develop solutions targeting a large range of problems from system solutions to integration of in-canister and in-flight missiles in a complex and cooperative engagement environment. * Working across multiple applications on numerous projects in the systems software department, this role allows for involvement in many of the most advanced missile and air defence systems in the world, across multiple domains. Software Engineer experience required: * A background in software engineering. * Experience with C++, ‘C’ or Ada. * Experience with a UML-based design tool. E.g., Rhapsody. * A passion for software engineering, able to innovate and solve complex software problems. * A willingness to develop software skillsets either through on-the-job, or formal training. * A desire to design, develop, implement and test modular and scalable code. * Comfortable in a collaborative environment, contributing to design, implementation and integration. * Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55 and MISRA would be beneficial, but not crucial.
