An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a PSV Engineer/Mechanic reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles here at our Darlington Depot, this will involve shift work including earlies, lates and weekends What does it involve? * Shifts are 5 over 7 Sunday to Saturday * £16.82 per hour from June 2024 (over time available 1.5 times hourly rate) * Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards. * Continuous improvement of vehicle standards * MOT preparation * Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA) Requirements: * Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ) * Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines * Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary * A PCV license is desirable but not necessary * Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable Benefits: * Attractive salary & package * Contributory pension scheme * Great prospects for a rewarding career with progression and promotion opportunities * Free Bus pass for you and your family APPLY NOW to join the Arriva team to help deliver our vision of providing clean, sustainable and reliable transport services to our customers for a greener future.
