We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Service Advisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success. Job Overview: The Service Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop by managing job cards, coordinating parts orders, and handling general administrative duties. This part-time position is ideal for someone with experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry who is looking to contribute their skills in a supportive and professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Job Card Management: Create, update, and close job cards accurately and efficiently. Schedule and coordinate service and repair appointments for HGVs. Monitor the progress of repairs and services, keeping customers informed of any changes or delays. Parts Coordination: Order and manage inventory of parts required for vehicle services and repairs. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts. Verify and process parts invoices and returns. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers both in-person and over the phone, addressing inquiries and providing information about services. Prepare and present service estimates and invoices to customers. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, seeking prompt resolutions. Administrative Duties: Maintain and organize service records and documentation. Assist in preparing reports related to workshop performance and operations. Coordinate with the workshop team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Qualifications and Skills: Experience: Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry is essential. Familiarity with HGVs and related services is highly desirable. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional qualifications in automotive services or administration are a plus. Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
