Senior Systems Engineer Salary: up to £45,000 - £60,000 DOE Location: Horsham, West Sussex We're looking for a Systems Engineer to join a vibrant team based in Horsham. In this role, you'll navigate a diverse product portfolio, ranging from innovative low-TRL concept demonstrator systems to the repeat orders of our highly successful electro-optical surveillance and tracking systems. Your main responsibility will be to lead Systems Engineering activities within multi-disciplinary project teams. This entails ensuring the alignment of mechanical, electrical, and software design elements to meet the customer's requirements effectively. Functional and Physical Systems Architecture Design and Definition: This involves designing and defining the architecture of both the functional and physical aspects of the systems, laying the groundwork for their development. System Modelling: Employing modelling techniques to simulate and analyse the behaviour of the system under different conditions, aiding in its optimisation and refinement. Development of Engineering Management Plans: Crafting comprehensive plans for engineering management, including safety management, test integration and acceptance, and technical risk management, to ensure smooth project execution. Gathering of Verification Evidence For Systems Requirements: Collecting evidence to verify that the system requirements are being met, ensuring its functionality and performance align with the customer's needs. Creation of Procurement Specifications: Defining the parameters and procedures for testing the system to ensure its quality and reliability. Conducting Design Reviews: Leading or participating in design reviews to assess the progress and quality of the system's development, identifying any issues or areas for improvement.
