Everyone knows electric cars are the future. For lots of people that's a frightening concept because they don't fancy the idea of waiting around in 4 hour long queues to fill up every 200 miles. This job could be a chance for you to have a hand in changing that perception. They have quite a small team which is a benefit as the MD has a straight line to the CEO and everyone can join to make decisions and create a real difference. You’d be coming in as a Quality Engineer due to the business winning a massive contract which means they’re on a huge growth trajectory and need to keep up with headcount. The business has grown quite quickly over the last 10 years and with this contract in the works, there are loads of progression and development opportunities to climb the ladder if that’s what you’re looking for. Initially, you'll probably have to wear quite a few different hats - looking after internal audits, PPAP and APQP as well as managing the customer relationship and, sometimes, getting out to see suppliers to make sure things keep ticking along as smoothly as possible. Once you’ve helped to get everything up and running, the plan is to move into a new purpose-built site in Burnley. However, for the first year you would be based across 2 sites (one is Northwest, and the other is East Midlands) That'll be too big a job for some people. Throw in a pretty demanding customer and I've probably scared off 99% of Quality Engineers around.
