EMBS Engineering is currently looking to engage with Quality / Senior Quality Engineers who are seeking an interesting, challenging opportunity within a leading precision engineering company located in Derby. Working on a permanent basis, the successful applicant will have the prospect of joining an advanced manufacturing business that is well established within their chosen field, specialising in delivering intricate components to global giants within the aerospace industry. This position has been created to support the development and growth of the existing quality team and their commitment to their customers in a bid to continue to deliver exceptional results. As such, this presents a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a well-rounded Senior Quality Engineering position where there is autonomy and variety. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to; * Support delivery of our quality, cost, delivery and OPEX targets * Maintain and develop a comprehensive and documented Quality Walk the Floor routine to control and improve the performance of the business in line with required targets and standards, the output of which is to feed the DOMs * Maintain and audit the Quality Assurance System in line with customer-specific requirements, AS9100 (Aerospace), & NADCAP * Point of contact for customer-related queries / issues * Liaison with customers for timely resolution of any quality concerns / issues * Support the delivery of NPI * Maintain & improve a comprehensive internal audit program to control and continually improve the performance of Quality System in line with required targets and standards. (AS9100, NADCAP, customer specific) * Maintenance of control plans, Process flow charts PFMEA, PPAP * Participate / lead customer / NADCAP audits * Reduce the cost of non-conformance by engaging with the teams & carrying out continuous improvement / lean initiatives * Provide support to all manufacturing and planning areas to achieve our 100% quality target and Zero-Defect culture Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate: * Strong quality background - 5 years or more experience performing a Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer role * Familiarity / appreciation of manufacturing processes - machining and/or fabrication * Previous experience adhering to aerospace standards * Ability to carry out and conduct internal audits to AS standards * Sound understanding of core quality techniques such as; PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, FAIR * Confident communicator * Good organisation skills In return, our client is offering: * £45,000 - £50,000 p.a (Dependant on experience) * Day shift - 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am to 12pm on Fridays * Contributory pensions scheme * Company related profit bonus scheme * Sick pay * Additional employee benefits About us EMBS Engineering is a dedicated talent specialist that partners with some of the UK's most prestigious, advanced, precision engineering companies within the Aerospace, Automotive / Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Green, Environmental and FMCG industries.
