NATS are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join them on a contract basis at their site in Fareham, Hampshire. Applicants must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years and be willing to obtain SC Clearance. 12 month initial contract. £550-£600 p/d Umbrella, inside IR35 Hybrid working, 1-2 days a week onsite.Responsibilities Leading scoping activity, including funding requests and supporting the Senior Project Manager for business cases ensuring that work is effectively structured, and that robust schedules are created covering all costs, risk and outline management plans that are easily adopted (and easily developed) once funding is released. Leading and directing a number of projects assigned to them by the Head of Delivery or Senior Project managers and taking full accountability as Project Manager, managing the appropriate internal resource, partners/suppliers and/or sub-contractors. They will be responsible, as the Project Manager, for the delivery of their projects to achieve all performance targets and represent the project, on behalf of NATS, to the customer and internal/external project stakeholders. Leading and directing a number of delivery projects ensuring the solution is delivered to the requirements, timescales, budget and meeting or exceeding quality. Delivering project management for all projects up to what is classed in the capability as a Major project, you may be asked to support Senior Project Managers with some project management-related tasks.. Key responsibilities are to lead project mobilisation, project planning and scheduling, tracking of milestones, tracking and management of project requirements, tracking and management of the project critical path, risk (threats and opportunities) and issue management, project finances tracking actual spend and forecasting future spend accurately, running governance processes, and change management. Ensuring projects meet all relevant NATS Business Management System governance and management/reporting requirements. Directing and tasking the project team (incl. external suppliers) to ensure most effective delivery incl. costs control, whilst managing internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, building trust and partnerships to direct the delivery to meet existing and future requirements (as contract variations / project change requests) Directing and managing the delivery of the stakeholder meetings, presentations, reports, and workshops. Preparing and maintaining schedules of activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements, and displaying alternative fall-back mitigations. Developing, implementing, and updating resource allocations plans, including finance needed for projects, taking account of availabilities and scheduling. Developing and agreeing major budgets of numerous factions for projects and controlling forecast and actual costs against them. Quantitative and Qualitative management of project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects. Identifying appropriate business intelligence and communicating to relevant NATS Commercial Teams (e.g., Business Development, Account Managers). Developing, maintaining, and applying quality management processes for project activities including deliverables, issues, decisions, and outputs considering lessons learning. Identifying areas of improvement by reviewing and providing continuous feedback. Providing recommendations to improve delivery of projects and product improvementSkills Capable of Project Managing a single MAJOR project or a number of Standard projects Qualified to APM-PMQ or equivalent Proven skills in all facets of Project Management and Risk Management. Excellent analytical and conceptual reasoning skills, able to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Credible impact, with developed negotiation and conflict resolution style; able to take people with them. Able to demonstrate clear leadership attributes. Collaborative working style with a clear and relentless focus on delivering customer centric, profitable outcomes. Demonstrable resilience and developed competence in situational awareness and leadership. Ability to work with internal and external customers directly and influence their requirements and decision making
