We are currently supporting our automotive refuse collection client in recruiting a Senior Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the contract, ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining contract compliance, budget control, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: * Oversee all aspects of the contract, ensuring smooth operations. * Ensure remedial and maintenance work meets customer expectations. * Monitor and control costs to align with contract budgets. * Ensure compliance with SLA’s, KPI’s, and VOSA standards. * Manage fleet performance and vehicle maintenance schedules. * Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure Department of Transport compliance. * Maintain accurate records and input data into company systems. Operations & Team Management: * Lead and manage the contract team, ensuring accountability and clear communication. * Liaise with customers through weekly and monthly meetings. * Drive continuous improvement and implement effective fleet management strategies. * Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. * Provide staff with training and development opportunities. Quality & Customer Satisfaction: * Ensure compliance with ISO9001 accreditation and company procedures. * Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all repairs meet customer requirements. * Handle escalations and resolve service issues efficiently. * Complete all necessary documentation and customer satisfaction surveys on time. * Promote a customer-focused culture within the team. Health & Safety Compliance: * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations on-site and during travel. * Conduct risk assessments and routine safety checks. * Ensure the proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace. Quality & Environmental Responsibilities: * Manage compliance with quality and environmental policies. * Maintain accurate documentation related to quality and environmental procedures. Requirements: * Proven experience in operations management within a relevant industry. * Strong knowledge of fleet management, contract compliance, and service delivery. * Ability to lead teams effectively and drive continuous improvement. * Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills. * Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations. * Experience with ISO9001 accreditation is desirable
