Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Peterlee, County Durham – Up to £38/hr – Inside IR35 - 12 month initial contract Are you a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, and are you seeking a new contract role in Peterlee? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a global OEM recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, and the role comes with a contract rate of £38.00 per hour. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated machines.   You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, mentor and coach team members, whilst broadening your professional network. In your first few weeks in this Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, you can expect to: Develop, analyse and manage manufacturing/fabrication/paint/assembly projects. Assist in developing department capital and expense budgets and maintaining the department capital forecast. Administer the New Product Introduction NPI process to ensure that Engineering drawings are released and processed on time for NPI build. Direct, develop and support timely Design for Manufacture Best Practices, Operation Excellence Process Validation Best Practices and Lean Operation Excellence and Manufacturing Best Practices. Engage in creative problem-solving to address operational issues, including ergonomic safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, and quality concerns. You will also require the following: Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts. Able to build strong relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders. Lean manufacturing training and qualifications. Qualifications that include CE/PUWER/Safety/Ergonomic/NEBOSH/IOSH. APQP/PPAP Experience. Microsoft office knowledge. Project management and/or process optimization experience.
