We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our clients Aerospace Fuels Division, focusing on aircraft fuel and inerting system components for both civil and military applications at their site in the Fareham area. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering product design activities across the full product lifecycle-from concept development and detailed design to verification, qualification, and post-design support. You will work on a wide range of aircraft pumps, valves, and actuator products, producing models and detailed manufacturing drawings using the CREO 3D CAD package. What You'll Do: Generate designs of aircraft fuel system products using 3D CAD (CREO) to meet customer requirements. Complete tolerance analyses, detailed drawings, DFMEAs, Engineering Change Requests, customer approval paperwork, and other design-related activities. Participate in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) activities. Investigate and resolve non-conformance requests, provide technical support, and manage obsolescence while offering robust technical justifications. Drive to meet turnaround time goals and commitment dates for engineering activities, impacting monthly business finances and customer on-time delivery. Review and document changes required to drawings for manufacturing or supplier issues, cost reductions, and component definition. Support the creation of customer approval paperwork as needed for permanent design changes. Provide technical authority to sign off on non-conformance requests and detailed manufacturing drawings. Approve designs for in-service and cost-out projects as needed. Present designs at preliminary, critical, and detailed design reviews, both internally and to customers.
