Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in Stavanger. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering within the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering innovative solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of automation systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for oil and gas operations. Oversee and manage automation projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget, and timelines. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including specifications, design documents, and test plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems and processes. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology to continuously improve our systems and processes. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience working to NORSOK Standards Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in automation engineering within the oil and gas industry. Extensive experience with PLC, SCADA, DCS systems, and other automation technologies. Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Professional certifications in automation or related fields are a plus.
