Quality Manager for an automotive manufacturing company. The role is based in Buxton Client Details Our client is a bespoke 1st tier automotive supplier. Description Ensuring that the TS 16949/IATF 16949 systems, procedures and disciplines are rigorously maintained and followed throughout the business Responsible for the accurate measurement of all daily quality metrics and their communication across the business Championing and leading quality improvement throughout the business and in particular within manufacturing teams within the business Champion and lead the development, implementation and adherence to rigorous quality procedures, systems and methods throughout the business. Ensuing that all parts leaving the plant meet each customers' specific quality and technical requirements. As part of this liaise, build relationships and develop confidence in all customers Engagement of suppliers and improving on supply quality through supplier performance monitoring Participate / lead customer and certification bodies' audits within the business Actively voice the customers' demands to all levels of the business. Deputise for the Head of Quality and Technical manager to cover Holidays and Business tripsProfile Practical experience in a quality leadership role working in a business supplying into the automotive or similar engineering markets A working knowledge of TS 16949/IATF 16949 and substantive practical experience of managing both the systems themselves and the conformity to them in an engineering environment Knowledgeable about, and practiced at, utilising containment methods, root cause analysis and other lean/sigma quality improvement techniques like 8D, 5Y, etc. Experienced at leading multi-functional teams to improve quality metrics in a precision engineering environment Passionate about continuous improvement and the involvement of all employees in quality improvement projects Practiced at using visual management to communicate to the business as all levels Comfortable in communicating to, working alongside and liaising with customers and their commercial, quality and technical teams Enthusiastic, committed, robust, resilient and undeterred by challenging situations, people and materials Ambitious and keen to develop in a dynamic and expanding business We would also consider a strong senior quality engineer from the automotive industry who is looking to step up into a more senior management role.Job Offer £40,000 to £50,000 plus benefits
