One Call Consultants are currently looking for a Quality Manager for a very good client of ours based in Droitwich, Worcerster. This company specialize in the development, prototyping and production of large and medium-sized vacuum formed parts. Our expertise includes single sheet, twin sheet and pressure forming technology. The company operate some of the largest vacuum-forming machines in UK, with the capacity to mould parts up to 3.5m by 2.5m. They offer compression Moulding technology on our 250T and 30T hydraulic presses. Our expertise in this field includes a wide variety of composite materials. For component finishing, This company operates a variety of CNC, robotic and waterjet trimming machines together with facilities for multi-part assembly. This company has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality parts, on time. Quality Manager - Role summary As part of our ongoing growth plan, we are seeking a driven, motivated, and inspirational Quality Manager to join our leading manufacturing management team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our industry leading quality standards. You will need to be proactive with a strong bias for action, able to prioritise and communicate, and have masses of energy to bring to the role. We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to ensure that our products meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer. If you are passionate about Quality, driving improvements, reducing variability, and have a knack for devising inspection procedures and reporting quality issues, this is the role for you. Job scope The Quality Manager : * Is responsible for supporting the Company's aims and objectives relating to product quality, systems, and procedures. * Is to ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently achieved. * Is to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization ensuring that problems are prevented. * Is responsible for investigating and recording quality non-conformances and takes the lead in driving root cause analysis and corrective action. * Will have a passion for best practice and responsibility for maintaining the existing ISO Quality System but be proactive in developing new efficient procedures and processes. * Will provide professional and effective support to the factory in relation to quality issues and standards compliance. * Will ensure the final product has been manufactured with compliance to internal, external, and regulatory standards and meets customer expectations. * Is to always ensure a customer focus throughout the organisation. * Must display a positive enthusiasm and demonstrate a real drive to make pragmatic, informed, timely Quality decisions that support the site whilst protecting the brand. Must Have * Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all levels * Ability to communicate ideas with clear understanding of the, audience and gain commitments that are critical to the success of the organization * Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment * Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with a hands on approach, with a problem solving mindset. * Ability to identify solutions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement. * Self-motivated and confident decision maker maintaining Customer Focus at all times Education / training * HNC/Degree educated preferably in Engineering/Manufacturing * Ideally Degree Qualified in an engineering discipline. * Internal ISO Auditor * Certification of quality control is a strong advantage. * Proficient in MS Office / Working knowledge of relevant software tools and computer literacy * Strong analytical and problem solving skills Educated to degree level OR significant experience in a relevant role * BSc/ Ba in business administration or relevant field, and or time served in similar role / experience. * Working knowledge of relevant software tools and computer literacy Best practice * The job holder is required to have extensive knowledge, techniques such as, risk assessment and continuous improvement. * The jobholder must display a pragmatic attitude to make timely, effective decisions, using cost/benefit analysis. * The jobholder must have considerable individual impact and credibility * The jobholder must possess the social, negotiating and influencing skills to build and maintain relationships. * In-depth experience with the practical application of Quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. * Success in deploying Lean/CI tools that have led to significant process improvements.
