Quality Inspector (Lates) Location: Alcester Salary: £35,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Overview We are looking for an experienced Inspector to support manufacturing operations within a precision engineering environment. The role will involve CMM and manual inspection, ensuring components meet quality, engineering, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities First-off, in-process, final, and receipt inspection CMM inspection including running and maintaining programmes Manual inspection of precision components Completion of FAIRs using CMM and manual methods Supporting NPI and liaising closely with Engineering Raising and managing non-conformances Accurate recording of inspection results within MRP systems Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5SQuality Inspection & Measuring Tools Confident using manual measuring equipment including: Vernier callipers Micrometers (internal, external, depth) Height gauges Bore gauges Thread gauges (GO/NO-GO) Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans Experience inspecting to tight tolerances and quality standardsSkills & Experience Background in quality inspection within manufacturing or engineering Experience with CMM and manual inspection methods Strong attention to detail and right-first-time mindset
