Job Title: Quality Inspector - Days Salary: £30k - £35k - 36 hours per week (no weekend work and a week off every 3rd week) Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, Bolton, Lancashire Specialist Manufacturing & Engineering recruiter Martin Anthony is working with a leading manufacturer. They are looking for a Quality Inspector to drive quality within their product range, and to provide excellent service to their customers. Quality Inspector Responsibilities: * Ensure that all inspection activities are carried out to process * Provide technical support between quality, engineering, and production departments * Verify that only approved parts and materials have been used; check batch card against material certificates * Ensure processes are carried out correctly using batch card disciplines and NCR processes * Ensure the issue of drawings and specifications conforms to the batch card * All drawing and CMM inspection requirements are satisfied * Be an authorised stamp holder * Ensure prioritisation of products for customer deadlines * Ensure an effective handover is carried out between shifts * Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues by adopting suitable behaviour and setting high personal standards, which assist to persuade and promote performance from all the team * Follow H&S practices and procedures and maintain a safe site, 5s and clean work area Quality Inspector Key Skills and Experience Required: * Previous experience in a Quality Inspection position is essential * Knowledge of Quality management principles and techniques within an Engineering manufacturing environment * Understanding of engineering drawings * Understanding of inspection measuring, CMM and manual equipment within an engineering environment * Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100 or other manufacturing industry-related quality standards * Ability to communicate at all levels on task and process-related issues * Demonstrates working knowledge and technical competence in the inspection of manufactured components * Have knowledge of CMM machines and inspection * Understanding of First Article Inspection Requirements The company prides itself in fostering an inspiring environment that rewards outstanding performance.
